On the Receiving End of Fear

You cannot prove your innocence to those needing you to be guilty for their own safety. 

This speaks on people who would rather project and deflect than do their own work. They always need a target, a scapegoat, someone to blame for their suffering. Their ego is fighting for its survival.

And if you listen closely, under all the proclamations, all you hear is their pain. Within the projections, deflections, and spinning of circumstances, one thing is true: you have nothing to do with their growth, that is up to them. 

So, as you lend your ear to the painful infractions being thrown at you, try not to play catch. Try to remember that this creation has nothing to do with you. You just happen to be in the way of their fear. And they count on their fear creating enough chaos to throw others off their painful scent. 

Yes, this is all a big sh*tstorm,  but the only one who can clean up the mess is the one who transpired and created it. And most likely this person isn’t ready to give up their stance yet. That stance has kept this person in chaos, and when chaos is all you know, it becomes a familiar comfort. 

Know that some people won’t trust your calmness, your kindness, your lovingness, your acceptance because those are the very things that cannot be felt for themselves.

Choice is on your side. Choose love for yourself, and walk away.
